This
Scene is from the Series Edo no hana meisho-e which translates in to Flowers of
Edo, a collection of famous places published by Katoya Seibei. It shows Oiwa
Inari Temple in Yotsuya in the centre of ancient Tokyo, The Ghost Of Oiwa
emerging from a Lantern and the top panel shows scenes from the historic
Japanese Horror Novel "Tokaido Yotsuya Kaidan" where Oiwa was
poisoned by his wife.

steps leading to a temple in famous Kanda, Tokyo in the left panel, the ghost
of an ancient warrior in the top panel and a young Samurai with his horseman
banner in the right hand panel looking fearfully at the ghost.

rising from the blade of the sword in a cloud of dark smoke to hover over
Koishikawa in the hills od Marutsuka-yama.

worshiping the Goddess Kannon at Harima Hokkesan in Hyogo Province in the top
panel which is signed by Shigenobu who is Hiroshige the Second and Below is the
Scene of Sailors alarmed by Barrels of Rice flying into the air. The Founder of
Harima Hokkesan was named Kodo Sennin and he had the skill of making food fly
through the air to those who were hungry and the sailors on this boat ignored
his offerings so all the rice was sent flying back to him.
CONDITION: Good for Age. Margins trimmed and has Old Washi Album Backing. See
